Thinking, rethinking, thinking ahead: the switch from conventional to renewable energy generation is unavoidable in order to protect our planet and its inhabitants from the consequences of climate change. We show commitment and initiative in implementing a wide range of energy transition projects by generating electricity from renewable sources in our own plants.

In order to increase our contribution to the energy transition even further in the future, we are focusing on the continuous expansion of our renewable energy production and the optimization of our consumption:

-With our wind turbines, rooftop, ground-mounted and floating photovoltaic systems, we operate a large number of our own generation plants for renewable energy as well as an integrated battery storage system.

-Through intelligent generation and load control, the interaction of the various generation plants with consumers and storage systems is coordinated in the best possible way, enabling us to achieve an optimal self-sufficiency rate.

-We build on the ideas of our employees and implement both small and large measures to continuously reduce the required energy consumption throughout the company.

The basis of our energy monitoring is the recording of our energy consumption. We are constantly working to optimize the collection and processing of energy data as well as energy efficiency within the company. We audited our company-wide energy management system in accordance with DIN EN 16247-1 and are now preparing to introduce an energy management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50001. This will enable us to identify the main significant energy users (SEU) and derive suitable measures for continuous energy improvement.
